The Mid-Term Meeting has already passed, and what an unforgettable experience it was! It was completely different from my On-Arrival Training, and in many ways, even more rewarding. While I got to reconnect with a few familiar faces from the training, I also had the chance to meet some amazing young people from different parts of Europe. Everyone brought something unique to the table, and it was incredible to hear their stories and ideas.
The meeting took place in the peaceful village of Schlierbach, Austria. It felt like we had stepped into a storybook. Our hotel rooms had panoramic windows that looked out over the forest, and every morning, we woke up to the sweet melodies of birds singing. There was something so calming about watching the world wake up around us, seeing the flowers bloom and the trees come alive. The fresh scent of spring was everywhere, and it made everything feel even more special. We were lucky to have clear weather, which gave us the perfect opportunity to go hiking. As we trekked through the rolling hills, it wasn’t just the beautiful landscape that stood out, but the way we all bonded along the way. The walk through the Austrian countryside wasn’t just about exploring nature; it was a chance to talk, bond, and discuss the challenges we were facing in our projects. It felt like a true team-building experience.

Our trainers were full of energy and enthusiasm. It was easy to communicate with them, and they made every session exciting and interactive. We talked about all aspects of our projects—how we were progressing, the challenges we had encountered, and how we could improve. One of the most valuable discussions was about life in Austria—what it’s like to live here, the language, and the opportunities available to young people. We also planned our next steps and discussed the milestones we wanted to reach in the coming months.

But the real highlight of the meeting was the high ropes course. This was definitely a test of courage for everyone involved! It wasn’t just about climbing ropes or balancing on beams; it was about supporting each other and facing our fears together. The adrenaline rush was unbelievable, and it really helped bring our team closer. It was a fun yet challenging experience that pushed us to our limits and left us with unforgettable memories.
Looking back on the meeting, I realize how much I gained from it. I learned practical information about continuing our projects, and I discovered new areas where we can apply our knowledge and skills. But more than that, I got to meet some truly incredible people, each with their own perspectives, personalities, and life experiences. These new friendships and connections are what I will cherish most, and I’m grateful to have them as part of my journey.
This Mid-Term Meeting wasn’t just a checkpoint in my project—it was an adventure, an opportunity to grow, and a reminder of the amazing people and experiences that make this journey so special.
